Some info about climate in Russia:
http://www.climatetemp.info/russia/

Russia is known for its long and bitter winters. The country's hostile climate helped stop various invaders during its history, including the large armies of Napoleon in 1812 and of Adolf Hitler in 1941 and 1942. In the Moscow region, snow covers the ground for about five months each year. In the northernmost part of Russia, snow abounds for eight to nine months a year. The small percentage of Russia's land that is fit for agriculture has a short growing season and insufficient rainfall. Half the land has permafrost beneath the surface. Most of the coastal waters, lakes, and rivers freeze for much of the year.

Russia's weather varies from extremely cold to extremely hot. Northeastern Siberia is one of the coldest regions in the world. January temperatures there average below -50 °F (-46 °C). Temperatures as low as -90 °F (-68 °C) have been recorded. The average July temperature in this region is 60 °F (16 °C), but it can climb to nearly 100 °F (38 °C). No other part of the world registers such a wide range of temperatures.

Precipitation (rain, melted snow, and other forms of moisture) is light to moderate. The European Plain and parts of the East Siberian Uplands receive the most rain. Vast inland areas get little rain. The heaviest snowfalls - up to 4 feet (120 centimeters) of snow a year - occur in western and central Siberia.

Hi, A.!:) I am very glad that you have answered:). Climate in Russia is very various. Summer can be very hot or rainy. A lot of snow drops out in winter, there are very strong frosts or on the contrary there is a warm, favorable weather. I love snow and winter. In the winter I skate, sledge and ski. I like to go on the nature to breathe fresh air. My city is located on the banks of Yenisey river. here more than 1 million people live. Our city is big and beautiful. Here look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krasnoyarsk. I look forward to hearing from you soon;)

Krasnoyarsk is located in the temperate climate zone.

Average annual temperature: +1,3 C °.

In Krasnoyarsk hot summers and cold winters.

In summer the temperature reaches about +33 C ° and

most people spend their time on an island vacation by

taking on hire bicycles or simply relaxing on the

beach. In winter to keep warm on the street, people

usually wear double pants, down jacket or coat. But

even this garment does not protect from frost. So on

arrival home, people poured into a hot tea or coffee

and enjoy spending time.

Here it is a little about a climate in our country: In our country continental climate dominates: acutely continental climate, humid continental climate and a subarctic climate. In the city Krasnoyarsk where I live the acutely continental climate prevails. The total area of the city, including suburbs and the river, is 348 square kilometers (134.4 sq mi). The average air temperature in January is -15.6 °C (3.9 °F) in July, -18.5 °C (65.3 °F). Average annual amount of precipitation is 20 inches. The Yenisey River flows from west to east through the city. Near the city center, its altitude is 136 meters (446 ft) above sea level. there are 5 small lakes nearby. In our city it snows a lot in winter time, but switching-off the power happens rarely.

Hey V. I'm A.(: I live in Mt. Shasta, California.I'm 15 years old.A freshman in high school.(: Hoping to be an Architect. I love the idea of being able to build houses for people to build there loving family.(: Mt. Shasta is a really beautiful place. I moved here about 5 years ago from Los Angeles, California. It was such a big change but worth it. Mt. Shasta is a population of about 3,624 people. It's a really small town from one end to the other is about 9 miles. We rest on the side of a dormant volcano. Last time it erupted was 1925. Go on to Google and see pictures there are some really beautiful ones. Our Climate here is very Moisture I guess you could say we have a lot of springs, creeks and rivers around so the air is really moisture. The summers are nice not to hot. Once in awhile it does get really hot but cools down by the afternoon. Now winter is very cold it snows a lot. I have no problem with it because I love the snow. What's the climate like there where you live? I don't want you to flood you with questions all at once. So this is just kinda a what's up. I hope to talk to you soon. I have so many questions to ask you.

Here in mt shasta we dress like normal northern california kids. We wear jeans, a t shirt and a hoodie usually in the winter, and in the summer usually just shorts and a t shirt. We are very fashionable here aswell, we wear alot of branded clothes. Although, im a guy so i can't really speak for the girls. Here is our yearly climate - The highest recorded temperature for Mount Shasta California for the past 42 years was 105°F, and the typical annual high is 62.2°F. In the last 42 years the lowest measured temperature in Mount Shasta was -5°F, while the mean low daily annual temperature is 36.2°F. Mount Shasta usually receives an annual average of 39.16 inches of rain and receives an annual average of 104.9 inches of snow.

Hello, how are you? I'd like to describe climate of my country in this letter. So, the climate of Russia is formed under the influence of several determining factors. The enormous size of the country and the remoteness of many areas from the sea result in the dominance of the continental climate, which is prevalent in European and Asian Russia except for the tundra and the extreme southeast. Mountains in the south obstructing the flow of warm air masses from the Indian Ocean and the plain of the west and north makes the country open to Arctic and Atlantic influences. Due to the moderating influence of the Atlantic or Pacific, the most populous areas of the country in European Russia, in the south of West Siberia and in the south of the Russian Far East, including the cities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, experience a humid continental climate. Most of Northern European Russia and Siberia between the Scandinavian Peninsula and the Pacific Ocean has a subarctic climate, with extremely severe winters in the inner regions of Northeast Siberia, and more moderate elsewhere. The strip of land along the shore of the Arctic Ocean, as well as the Arctic islands, have a polar climate. A small portion of the Black Sea coast, most notably in Sochi, possesses a humid subtropical climate with unusually wet winters. Winter is dry compared to summer in many regions of East Siberia and the Far East, while other parts of the country experience more even precipitation across seasons. Winter precipitation in most parts of the country usually falls as snow. The region along the Lower Volga and Caspian Sea coast, as well as some areas of southernmost Siberia, possess a semi-arid climate. Also, I'd like to tell you about type of area where I live. I live in Krasnoyarsk. It's urban area, actually it's the capital of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Due to the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam it's not very cold in Krasnoyarsk. The average air temperature in January is ?15.6 °C (3.9 °F); in July, 18.5 °C (65.3 °F). So we don't have any problems with adjustment to the seasons. Of course we wear warm outfit and many people spend their holiday in warm countries but I don't think that it's very onerous.

Hi my dear friend. My name is D. and I live in the most beautiful city Krasnoyarsk. In this city there almost one million people live, and I think that I know nobody who is sorry about it. My city has one of the largest rivers in Russia, the river Yenisey. This river divides our city into 2 coasts, left and right on which there are a lot of factoriesl. Krasnoyarsk nature is really beautiful: mountains, lowlands, caves and much more. in the winter it's cool enough and it snows a lot, we have very beautiful winter for skiing & snowboarding. There it is possible to arrive simply to take a walk, and to breathe fresh air. there are a lot of fountains, monuments and old architectural buildings, they are very beautiful and it takes much time to visit all of them =) our city is famous for very big zoo which is in a beautiful place. There are exotic animals from all continents there.
